CALGARY – A teenaged girl was hurt when a car smashed through the windows of a Subway shop in Calgary.
Fire department spokesman Brian McAsey (MACK-ah-see) says a silver sedan jumped the curb and drove right into the sandwich shop.

McAsey says he doesn’t know the young woman’s condition.
It’s not known why the car ended up in the store, but McAsey says it could have been that the driver had a medical condition, or it could have been a mechanical error.
He also says in some cases, people panic and press on the gas instead of the brake.
McAsey says it’s the second time this week that a vehicle has driven into a building in Calgary.
