Body found on Tsuu T’ina Nation ruled a homicide

The Tsuu T’ina Nation Police Service is investigating a homicide on the reserve southwest of Calgary.

Two people fishing at the Elbow River near the Weaselhead Bridge found a partially-burned body near the river on Saturday, March 7th.

On Monday, the Calgary Medical Examiner’s Office determined the death was the result of a homicide.

There’s no word on the cause of death.

On Thursday, RCMP identified the victim as Brando Walker.

The RCMP Major Crimes Unit is assisting in the investigation.
