Canadian ‘Shark Tank’ star Robert Herjavec splits from wife of 25 years

TORONTO — Canadian entrepreneur, Shark Tank personality and Dancing with the Stars competitor Robert Herjavec has split from his wife of 25 years.

“Human relationships are so difficult,” Herjavec is quoted as telling TMZ. “I wish nothing but love and peace for our family as we move forward from this.”

Herjavec married Diane Plese in 1990 and the couple has daughters Caprice and Skye and son Brendan.

Herjavec, 52, was born in Croatia but came to Canada with his family when he was only eight years old. He founded Herjavec Group, an information security company headquartered in Toronto that has offices across Canada.

Plese, an optometrist, was born and raised in Toronto’s Parkdale neighbourhood by parents who immigrated from Croatia.

The couple own a 50,000-square-foot mansion in the tony Bridle Path area of Toronto as well as several vacation homes.
