IN PHOTOS: Global Winnipeg staff love to read at local schools

WINNIPEG – Global News set an ambitious goal for I Love to Read month: work reading at 30 schools into the always-busy schedules of its Winnipeg newsroom staff.

Thanks to the efforts of a dedicated group of readers and schedulers, the goal was met with multiple dates at schools across Winnipeg and beyond.

“It’s a great opportunity for all of us to get out into the community and connect with the youngest of readers,” said Global News community producer Eva Kovacs, who read at four schools. “Everybody walks away with a smile on their faces. The kids have such great questions.
