SASKATOON – We’d like to share a success story from our “Adopt a Pet” segment on the Morning News. Kermit has a new family after appearing on the show last week with Lisa Dutton and Kevin Stanfield.

On Feb. 19, Lindsay Royale with the Saskatoon SPCA brought in Kermit, a dachshund, who was up for adoption.

Luckily for Kermit, Judith Hill’s husband Blaine was watching the show. They adopted Kermit that day and in record time, according to the SPCA.

Now, the dog goes by Simon and has an older companion named Roxie, a miniature dachshund. Roxie is busy teaching her new buddy the ropes around the house who is a good fit for the family.

“I normally would not do this but I thought you may want to see just how happy our new little boy is,” said Judith in an email.
