The 2015 Variety Show of Hearts 2015 telethon raised nearly six million dollars for B.C. children during the live, two-day event, aired on Global BC.
$5,886,973 was raised in total. Funds given to Variety supports children across the province who are sick or have special needs. Variety gives grants for medical emergencies, therapies, specialized equipment, drug prescriptions and out-of-town accommodation and travel costs.
The first telethon was staged in October 1966 and raised $60,000. The Show of Hearts is the longest running telethon in Canada.

The telethon included musical performances by Paul McCartney, Sheryl Crow and Elton John, along with special presentations for some of the children directly affected by your generosity.
