UPDATE: Vernon RCMP looking for man missing from medical facility

UPDATE TUESDAY: The man has been located and is now in hospital completing his treatment.

VERNON — Police are asking for your help in finding a man who left a Vernon medical facility on January 31 without finishing his treatment.

“Police are concerned for his safety and are requesting the public’s assistance in locating him so that he can receive the necessary medical attention,” says Vernon RCMP spokesperson, Gord Molendyk.

The man was last seen wearing a camouflage baseball cap, red zip up hoodie and jeans.

“It is possible that [he] may attempt to walk into a forested area to camp, or he may even attempt to hitchhike to Calgary as he has relatives there,” says Molendyk. “[He]is known to frequent an area in Kamloops called Green stone Tower as well.”

Anyone with information is asked to call RCMP.
