VANCOUVER – According to a new and exclusive poll by BC Business and Ipsos Reid, residents love their homegrown businesses.
This is the second annual poll on the most loved brands, and as expected, retailers and restaurants dominated the list. However, there were some surprises, such as the Vancouver International Airport debuting at number five.
This survey asked 1,349 British Columbians in November, 2014, a series of questions about which brands they trust, which brands they identify with, and which brands make a positive contribution to B.C., to name a few.
A panel of experts came up with 65 consumer-facing brands for the respondents to choose from. When the numbers were tallied at the end, Ipsos took the average and then made that equal to 100.
