Plenty of parents put video of their kids on YouTube. Few see those videos shown across the world.
But that’s what happened this week for a Pitt Meadows couple, whose 21-month-old daughter did a lip sync of Taylor Swift’s “Shake it Off” that has delighted the internet.

“She’s a ham,” says Eevinleigh Schlemp of her daughter Nevaeh Smith. Eevinleigh was in the grocery store while Nevaeh and her husband Mike were waiting in the car.

“Taylor Swift came on the radio, and she was trying to sing along,” says Mike. “She does this all the time. We didn’t think anything of it, but I thought I’d post it on YouTube and see what happens.

The video has since been featured on several websites, including the homepage of Entertainment Tonight and RyanSeacrest.com.
Taylor Swift herself even tweeted it to her millions of followers:
As for Nevaeh’s next move? She’s been practicing lip syncing to Maroon 5’s “Animals” – and with her mom seven months pregnant, perhaps some duets are in her future.
