STARS takes driver to hospital following collision southeast of Edmonton

EDMONTON — A serious two-vehicle collision shut down Highway 21 southeast of Edmonton Thursday night.

Strathcona County RCMP said one of the drivers may have suffered a medical incident. The collision happened on Highway 21, south of Township Road 510.

The driver was taken to hospital by STARS Air Ambulance. Their condition is not known at this time.

Highway 21 was closed to traffic in both directions Thursday night. It reopened shortly after 7:30 p.m.
