CALGARY- A Calgary hospital has welcomed the first baby of the New Year.
The baby girl was born 55 seconds after midnight on Jan. 1 to parents Ma Chun and Xing Situ at the Peter Lougheed Centre.
Her parents have named her Starr Situ.

“I feel so excited. So happy.”
They say they’re very excited to welcome their new bundle of joy into the world.
“We went into labour around 9 p.m. last night,” said the baby’s father Xing Situ.
“After the baby was born, they told us we were number one,” he added.
Starr is the couple’s third child, she also has an older brother and sister.
