TORONTO — Sonni Pacheco, the Canadian wife of actor Jeremy Renner, is seeking a divorce after only 10 months of marriage.

According to TMZ, the B.C. native filed papers earlier this month citing irreconcilable differences.

Pacheco is asking for spousal support and physical custody of their 21-month-old daughter Ava Berlin. She also wants Renner to cover the costs of moving out.

Pacheco’s divorce papers reportedly acknowledge the couple has a pre-nuptial agreement but Pacheco claims it should be disregarded due to unspecified “fraud.”

Renner only publicly acknowledged his marriage in September, telling Capitol File magazine he has tried to protect his wife’s privacy.

Renner and Pacheco met on the B.C. set of 2011’s Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol. He co-starred in the movie with Tom Cruise and she worked as a stand-in.

Pacheco, 23, was born and raised on a farm in the town of Pitt Meadows near Coquitlam.

Judging by Renner’s comments about the couple’s daughter, a custody battle will likely be a big part of the divorce proceedings.

“The only thing I think about when I’m not with my baby is, How do I get to my baby? I need to get to her, and I’m very miserable when I don’t see her,” the actor, who turns 44 in January, told Capitol File.

“The only thing that has changed is my perspective on things. I still work, probably even more. It used to be for myself so I’m not old and broke. All these things I still do, but I do it now for the future of my baby, and if it gets in the way of her well-being, then I stop.”
