Police investigate series of purse snatchings in downtown Vancouver

Vancouver Police say they are investigating nine purse snatchings in the downtown core over the past month and a half.

Police say the first of nine robberies and attempts happened on October 30, and the last robbery occurred on December 12.

In most of the incidents, victims were approached from behind by a man who grabbed their purse, before fleeing on a dark-coloured bicycle.

Police say no weapons were involved, and no one was injured, despite several victims being knocked to the ground during the robberies.
