EDMONTON – The death of a 35-year-old woman is being investigated by Edmonton Police as the city’s 12th homicide of 2014.
Freda Goodrunning’s body was found June 4 in west Edmonton. Police were called to 174 Street and Stony Plain Road around 1:45 p.m. When they arrived, officers found the woman’s body inside a detached storage shed behind MacTaggert’s Pub and Grill.

Her death was treated as suspicious, and an autopsy the following day failed to determine the exact cause of death. Toxicology results came back in October, when it was determined that Goodrunning died of blunt force trauma.
