It’s alleged police tried to stop the vehicle with lights and siren activated but the driver refused to stop.

When more cruisers arrived and tried to contain the vehicle, police say it side-swiped one of the cruisers and then went around it.

Another attempt was made and police say the suspect vehicle ended up going off the road and striking a pole.

The 12-year-old girl is charged with flight from police, dangerous driving, taking a motor vehicle without consent and driving a motor vehicle without a licence. Police say the other girl – who is 14 – was not charged.
