Officers were called to the home around 9 p.m. Friday in connection with a man barricaded inside a house.

Negotiators talked to the man throughout the night, but around 5 a.m. two nearby sheds caught fire and then the house caught fire and was destroyed.

Police had been unable to locate Armour and issued a public plea in the event he had fled the area.

The Mounties say an autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of his death.
