Women in Leadership Award honours Manitoba volunteers

WINNIPEG – She’s an inspiring volunteer who has demonstrated outstanding leadership, and she deserves recognition.

The Shaw Media – Global News Women in Leadership Award will honour inspiring female volunteers, with the first recipient to be named at the Volunteer Manitoba Awards Gala on April 14.

Volunteer Manitoba invites nominations of inspiring female volunteer leaders who:

• demonstrate exemplary vision in creating/implementing programs, projects, reforms, and new initiatives in responding to community issues;
• achieve measurable outcomes related to an organization’s mission/vision;
• demonstrate a strong ability to plan, delegate, communicate, and manage people;
• exemplify a visionary approach to creating positive change;
• provide motivation, compassion, empathy and inspiration; and
• lead by example.
