Aurora Borealis seen from Northern Alberta

Dan from Legal, Alberta put together this time-lapse video with 239 photographs he took of aurora borealis Monday night.

“Thanks to a large coronal mass ejection from the sun hitting the earth yesterday afternoon, the
aurora borealis were absolutely spectacular,” says Dan. “Showing not only the relatively common green aurorea, but also the more rare red, as well as extremely rare blue and purple aurorae.”
