Former Saskatchewan Roughrider Jack Abendschan will be inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame.

Abendschan played offensive guard, punter and kicker for the Saskatchewan Roughriders between 1965 and 1975.

Abendschan was part of the 1966 Grey Cup championship-winning Saskatchewan Roughriders. During the game against the Ottawa Rough Riders he converted four touchdowns.

Currently, he sits third place on the Roughriders all-time points list with 863.

During his 11 year career he was named Western Division All-Star seven times and a CFL All-Star five times.

Over the course of his career, he tallied 159 field goals. His best field goal percentage was 63.2 per cent or (24 of 38) in 1970.

He was inducted into the Roughriders Plaza of Honor in 1992.

Other CFL players being inducted are Damon Allen, Milt Stegall, Tyron Jones, Eric LaPointe, David Braley and Peter Connellan.
