Highway 63 was closed to north and southbound traffic at the collision scene for several hours. It reopened around 5 p.m.

Officers are working to determine what caused the SUV to cross the centre line. Speed, alcohol and distracted driving have not been ruled out.

The identity of the man is not being released.
