WATCH: Superheroes brawl on Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chewbacca tries to break it up

WATCH: They usually spend the day posing for pictures with tourists, but on Wednesday several costumed characters who work along Hollywood’s Walk of Fame started throwing punches at each other. Suzanne Marques reports.

TORONTO – Have you ever wondered if Batgirl could take out Mr. Incredible? Well, you might have found your answer after a staple of Hollywood’s Walk of Fame made headlines for all the wrong reasons.

An incredible video that has spread online, featuring a troupe of costumed superheroes scrapping on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame, was released Wednesday by Filmon.com on YouTube.

In the video, it appears that tempers flared between a person portraying Disney’s “Mr. Incredible” and another actor dressed as “Batgirl”.

And that’s where the video gets even weirder. Within moments, someone dressed as Chewbacca steps in to break it up and he’s helped by Waldo from the Where’s Waldo? book series and – most surprising of all – Freddy Krueger.

Moments later, Mr. Incredible gets loose to punch, kick and throw Batgirl to the ground in front of dozens of tourists.

The incident broke out steps away from the infamous TCL Chinese Theatre in front of dozens of tourists. It sparked a few laughs on social media and even caught the attention of comedian and late night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel.

“If you’ve been to Hollywood you know they pose for pictures with tourists and they wear dirty superhero costumes,” Kimmel said Wednesday on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

But not everyone was having a laugh afterwards. Lauryn Williams, an American veteran of four Olympic Games for track and field and bobsled, didn’t appreciate the violence against a woman.

“Just laughing at the superhero brawl on the news? I wasn’t,” said Williams on her Twitter account. “[It’s a] real man beating up a real woman. Mad at Ray Rice? You should be mad at this too.”

According to KTLA, the Los Angeles Police Department continues to investigate but did confirm there were no arrests or injuries.

Either way, the costumed characters involved should have known better. The first rule of Superhero Fight Club has always been…”Let the Wookie win.”
