EDMONTON — An Edmonton transit bus driver has been charged in connection with a pedestrian collision that injured a young girl last month.
Around 8:05 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 23, police officers were called to a bus stop at Rutherford Road and 16A Avenue.
Police say an 11-year-old girl was seriously injured after she got caught in the front passenger door as she was attempting to board the bus at a marked bus stop.
Officers say the ETS was pulling away when the girl got caught and was allegedly dragged for a short distance. Officers were told the girl was able to free herself from the door, but her leg was run over by the bus.
