Man appears in court after Saskatoon’s sixth homicide of the year

SASKATOON – A man charged in connection to Saskatoon’s sixth murder of the year made his first court appearance Friday.

Craig Mintuck, 34, is charged with second-degree murder. He is accused of killing 32-year-old Albert Gardipy at a home in the Caswell Hill neighbourhood.

Police were called to the home in the 200-block of 26th Street West on Wednesday night.

Gardipy was found with stab wounds. He was rushed to hospital but later died.

Mintuck remains in custody and will be back in court on Tuesday.
