HALIFAX – A lawyer from Lower Sackville is facing charges related to human trafficking, prostitution and sexual assault.
Duane Alan Rhyno, 46, was arrested on Tuesday by Kings District RCMP.
The alleged victim is a 26-year-old woman.
Rhyno, who operates a law firm in Lower Sackville, was arrested following an investigation by the Mounties, who said they received tips in July about possible prostitution activity in the area.
Police charged Rhyno with offences including human trafficking, aiding and abetting prostitution and sexual assault.
He is due to appear in Kentville Provincial Court on Wednesday.
