CALGARY- Police are investigating a possible luring attempt at a northwest school.
Around 3:15 p.m. on Thursday, a school supervisor at King George Elementary School noticed a woman in a silver Honda Odyssey minivan parked in a no parking zone.
When she went up to the driver, the woman said she was there to pick up her daughter with mobility issues. When told she still could not park there, the van drove off and did not return.
When the student in question and her brother were asked about it later, the children said they did not recognize the description of the woman. After officials contacted the students’ mother, she confirmed she was not at the school that day and hadn’t sent anyone in her place.
Police are now investigating, and have released a description of the woman. She’s described as white, about 40-years-old with a slim built and short blond hair.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
