TORONTO — Canadian pop star Justin Bieber was greeted by boos — and some cheers — when he stripped down to his underwear Tuesday night on live TV.
The 20-year-old appeared on the Fashion Rocks special at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center with model Lara Stone to introduce performer Rita Ora and the Calvin Klein fashion show.
As he took off his clothes to reveal a pair of black Calvin Klein boxer-briefs with a red waist band, the boos were largely drowned out by screams of excitement.
Bieber struggled to read the TelePrompTer and then struck a series of model-inspired poses.

Later, he tweeted: “Grandma always said kill ’em with kindness…and then strip on live national tv. Lol,”
The singer also posted a Vine clip in which a fan zoomed in on his crotch.
Bieber has posted a number of photos in recent months showing him wearing Calvin Klein underwear, leading to speculation he had signed a deal to be the brand’s next celebrity model.
In July, a Calvin Klein rep said the company does not comment on rumours.

Previous Calvin Klein underwear models include Mark Wahlberg, Djimon Hounsou, Kellan Lutz and Jamie Dornan as well as soccer star Freddie Ljungberg.
Bieber was booed at the Juno Awards last March when his name was read as winner of the Fan Choice award. The singer, who was not at the show, was publicly defended by Serena Ryder and Tegan and Sara.
