Toronto’s Queen Street West makes list of Vogue’s coolest neighbourhoods

TORONTO – Toronto’s Queen Street West neighbourhood is the second best place in the world to find the hippest street style, according to Vogue Magazine.

The publication’s “Global Street Style Report” calls West Queen West “a verifiable artery of indie patisseries, homegrown labels, and hidden-from-view galleries — hallmarks of hipness, if ever they existed.”

The magazine names the Museum of Contemporary Canadian Art, The Drake and the Gladstone hotels as some of the influences that make the Queen West neighbourhood one of the coolest in the world.

The area is also well-known for its Graffiti Alley where street art is prominently displayed.

Topping the list at number one on Vogue’s list is Shimokitazawa district in Tokyo, Japan and Sodermalm in Stockholm, Sweden at third place.
