MONTAGUE, P.E.I. – Police in a small eastern Prince Edward Island community say the two victims of a double homicide last week died from gunshot wounds.
RCMP say they responded to a call at a home in Montague at about 9:15 p.m. on Wednesday, where Herbert Brent McGuigan, 68, and his son Brendon Patrick McGuigan, 39, were found dead.

Police say a forensic identification unit remained on scene at the McGuigan home until Saturday and investigators have seized firearms believed to have been used in the shooting.
Alfred Guy Vuozzo of the Montague area has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder.
The 46-year-old Vuozzo remains in police custody and is expected to appear in Georgetown provincial court on Thursday.
