HALIFAX – Halifax police have charged a man and a woman with robbery in connection with a carjacking Thursday.

A cab driver told police he was driving two passengers in the city’s south end when they threatened him and demanded his keys.

The 30-year-old cabbie jumped out of the taxi. He was not hurt.

Police later found the cab on Olivet Street.

A 31-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman were arrested later in the day.

Police say they are also charged with breaching a court order.
