Tatyana Lysenko of Russia wins women’s hammer throw at the world championships, Heidler 2nd

DAEGU, South Korea – Tatyana Lysenko of Russia won the women’s hammer throw Sunday at the world championships with a toss of 77.13 metres.

Betty Heidler of Germany, the 2007 champion, won her second straight silver medal with a toss of 76.06, and Zhang Wenxiu of China took bronze with 75.03.

Two-time world champion Yipsi Moreno of Cuba was fourth with a toss of 74.48, and defending champion Anita Wlodarczyk of Poland finished fifth with a throw of 73.56.
