CENTRAL OKANAGAN WEST — Central Okanagan Search and Rescue was called in to action to rescue an injured horseback rider.
The call came in at around 7 p.m. Monday dealing with a shoreline rescue.

The man, said to be in his 40’s, suffered a broken leg after he fell off his horse.
The animal got spooked while riding along a narrow stretch of beach near Okanagan Lake Resort.
The man was rescued by boat and taken to the Water Street boat launch where an ambulance was waiting to take him to hospital.
