RCMP charge woman for hit-and-run as victim remains in long term care

VANCOUVER – A 24-year-old North Vancouver woman has been charged for failing to remain at the scene of an accident in December, 2013.

Madeline Beckett allegedly struck a pedestrian in the 1600-block of Grand Boulevard on Dec. 4 at about 8:20 p.m..

The victim, a 21-year-old woman, has not been named but remains in hospital undergoing long term care.

Beckett is set to return to court on August 27.
