MONTREAL — Since 1969 the Beaconsfield Yacht Club has sat along Lake Saint Louis.
It’s now home to about 160 boats and offers a place where members can dock their boats in the summer, store them in the winter, or just sit back for a nice meal at the club restaurant.
Although the club has become a big part of the Beaconsfield community, it also attracts people from all over Montreal.
The club offers sailing lessons for both adults and kids aged 8 to 17 and lessons are taught over the summer, in four two-week sessions. This year, 65 children signed up.
“It’s the highlight of my youth, I come back every year to basically try and relive my youth,” one member told Global News.
It is a great place to make the most of summer.
