Winnipeg police release photos of woman bank robber

WINNIPEG – Police have released photos of a woman suspected of robbing a Main Street bank on Thursday.

A woman went into the bank shortly after 3 p.m. and got in line, witnesses told police.

When she reached the teller, she said she had a gun and demanded money from the 28-year-old woman, although she showed no weapon.

The teller handed over cash and the woman fled.

The woman was five-foot-four to five-foot-five and about 20 to 25 years old, police said in a news release.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call police at 204-986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-8477.
