EDMONTON – A motorcycle driver was killed in a collision west of Edmonton on Saturday night.
Emergency services responded around 8:45 p.m. to the two-vehicle crash on Highway 16A and Range Road 15, about nine kilometres west of Stony Plain in Parkland County.
RCMP say a truck on the range road drove into the intersection when it wasn’t safe to do so. A motorcycle going east on the highway then hit the back of the truck.
The man driving the motorcycle died on scene. His family was notified, and the victim’s name is not being released at their request.
Charges are pending against the driver of the truck.
