While crews are dealing with more than 150 fires across B.C., just south of the border, crews are also dealing with a major wildfire.
A sheriff in Okanogan County estimates that up to 100 homes have been destroyed in a large fire burning in the communities of Pateros and Alta, which are about 90 minutes south of Osoyoos.

The flames currently cover more than 67 thousand hectares, which is larger than the size of Golden Ears Provincial Park.
