UPDATE: Alberta foreign worker reported missing found dead

INNISFREE, Alta. – A foreign worker reported missing last month has been found dead in central Alberta.

Police say they believe the vehicle 35-year-old Imants Zarins was in was involved in a crash and no foul play is suspected.

RCMP say a person walking along gravel road south of Innisfree found a vehicle in dense brush earlier this week.

Police found a dead man inside the mid to late 1990s Pontiac Grand Am and was identified as Zarins.

Zarins, who was from Latvia, was reported missing after failing to show up for work on June 28.

Innisfree is about 145 kilometres southeast of Edmonton.
