A two car head on collision near the entrance of Yoho National Park claimed the life of a woman on Monday morning.
A westbound Toyota Camry crossed the centre line and collided with an eastbound Chevrolet truck at the west entrance to Yoho National Park Saturday morning, according to Trans Canada East Traffic Services.
The male driver of the Camry was taken to hospital in Golden, B.C. and then airlifted to hospital in Calgary. The female passenger of the Camry was declared dead at the scene of the collision.
The two people in the truck were taken to hospital in Golden and were treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The traffic services unit is continuing the investigation of the collision.
