KELOWNA – A man who was the subject of a public warning by the Kelowna RCMP has pleaded guilty to sexual offenses involving children.
The investigation started in the summer of 2012 when police say they received several reports of a man fondling himself on a public beach on Okanagan lake.
At the time, RCMP spokesperson Cst. Kris Clark said “The man enters the beach, searches for a secluded spot, and then targets pre-teen or teenage girls.”

Then in March of this year, RCMP issued the public warning saying they had reasonable grounds to believe Jason Antonio White, 35, of West Kelowna is offending against children and there may be victims not yet identified to police.
White has now pleaded guilty to invitation to sexual touching and exposing genitals to a person under 16 years old.
He’s been released on conditions restricting his access to certain public areas and prohibiting him from being around young children pending sentencing at a later date.
