Two East Vancouver homes raided by College of Dental Surgeons

WATCH: There are allegations of two more illegal dentistry operations in the province, after the College of Dental Surgeons raided 2 homes in East Vancouver today. Catherine Urquhart reports.

The B.C. College of Dental Surgeons raided two homes in East Vancouver on Monday.

Investigators raided one home in the 1300 block of East 34th Avenue, and another one on East 38th.

“The College conducted surveillance on the residences, and gathered enough evidence to obtain the court’s permission to conduct the orders under the Health Professions Act,” they said in a statement.

“Anyone who has seen an illegal dentist should see a doctor and ask to be tested for infectious disease, and should see a licensed/registered dentist to obtain appropriate and safe care.”

The cases are the fourth and fifth investigated in Metro Vancouver since Burnaby-based Tung Sheng “David” Wu was arrested in Toronto last year after months of evading police.
