Woman found dead inside west Edmonton storage shed

EDMONTON – The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) is investigating a suspicious death, after a woman’s body was found in west Edmonton Wednesday afternoon.

Police were called to the area of 174 Street and Stony Plain Road around 1:45 p.m. When they arrived, officers found the woman’s body inside a detached storage shed, which was located behind MacTaggert’s Pub and Grill.

The woman’s death is being treated as suspicious, and homicide detectives have taken over the investigation.

The woman’s identity has not been released. Police say an autopsy is likely to be scheduled for Thursday.
