Police desperate for clues in case of missing Brossard mother and son

WESTMOUNT – Inside an office tower on Ste-Catherine Street in Westmount, there is both shock and disbelief.

Sherry Wang can’t believe her colleague, 42-year-old Jian Ping Li, and her 6-month-old son Zhou-Feng-Lu are missing.

“We all feel really sad, we think about her every day,” Wang told Global News.

“The whole company gets very emotional when we think about it.”

“Maggie,” as her friends called her, worked as a software developer for Z-Wave Solutions.

For the last week, no one has seen or heard from the mother.

Li is reported to have left her home in Brossard last Wednesday, April 30th.

Police say she left on foot with no wallet or even a baby stroller for her baby.

Detectives admit the trail has gone cold.

“That’s the big question mark, we have no reason for the disappearance,” Cst. Jean-Pierre Voutsinos says.

“So any clue is a good clue at this point.”

On Wednesday, Longueuil Police held an operation in the missing woman’s neighbourhood.

They went door-to-door passing out information flyers to area residents.

The Sun Youth group is offering a reward up to $5,000 for an important tip.

“It’s a miserable experience for us,” Sherry Wang says, holding back tears.

“We hope she and the baby are ok and they come back to us, no matter what.”

Anyone with information on the case is asked to call Longueuil Police at 450-463-7211.
