Accused killer appears in Edmonton court

EDMONTON – The man accused in a violent stabbing spree at an Edmonton warehouse made a brief court appearance via Closed Circuit Television Monday morning.

Jayme Pasieka, 29, is accused of killing two workers and wounding four others during a rampage at a warehouse for the Loblaw grocery chain on February 28.

Pasieka faces a long list of charges including two counts of first-degree murder, one count of attempted murder, and aggravated assault.

Fitzroy Harris, 50, and Thierno Bah, 41, died of their injuries.

Family members of the victims were in court Monday for the brief appearance.

Pasieka is seeking Legal Aid.

Court is adjourned until June 9.
