The investigation into a fatal dog mauling which left a 7-year-old girl dead is now over.

There will be no charges laid in the March 16th incident, RCMP said Thursday.

Gracie Herntier-Clarke was killed at a home in the RM of Springfield when two Alaskan Malamutes attacked her.

Herntier-Clarke was with her grandparents visiting family friends who own the dogs. She had spent time with the dogs previously and was outside with them when the attack occurred.

RCMP have previously said both of the dogs were euthanized.
