BC election 2026 results: Surrey South

Surrey South is a provincial riding located in the Metro Vancouver, Surrey region. This riding is currently represented by MLA Brent Chapman, who first took office in 2024. Chapman collected 13,056 votes, winning 58.83 per cent of the vote in the 2024 B.C. provincial election.

Initially elected as a member of the Conservative Party, he crossed the floor to OneBC in September 2026.

He said he could not stay in the party after seeing his wife, fomer leader of the Conservative Party of B.C., Kerry-Lynne Findlay, endure so many attacks.

Chapman is not running for re-election.

Just two years after the previous election, B.C. residents have cast their vote in the 2026 provincial election.

BC NDP leader David Eby called a snap election in September, making the provincial election day one week after the municipal elections.
