BC election 2026 results: Penticton-Summerland

Penticton-Summerland is a provincial riding located in the Okanagan & Kootenays region. This riding is currently represented by Conservative MLA Amelia Boultbee, who first took office in 2024. Boultbee collected 11,615 votes, winning 41.37 per cent of the vote in the 2024 B.C. provincial election.

However, she is not running again in this election.

Boultbee was first elected in October 2024 as a Conservative, only to leave that party a year later over ideological disagreements to sit as an Independent, before joining the New Democrats in July.

Boultbee’s move boosted the NDP caucus to 48 members, increasing then-Premier David Eby’s parliamentary majority to two seats, but it also drew criticism from her constituents.

Now, just two years after the previous election, B.C. residents have cast their vote in the 2026 provincial election.

BC NDP leader David Eby called a snap election in September, making the provincial election day one week after the municipal elections.

Voters will elect 93 Members of the Legislative Assembly to serve in the 44th B.C. Parliament.

B.C. has 93 seats and 47 are needed for a majority.
