N.S. inmate critically injured in fall down stairs during scuffle in jail

<p>HALIFAX – An inmate at the Central Nova Scotia Correctional Facility in Halifax has been critically injured in a scuffle with another inmate.</p> <p>The Justice Department, in a release, says the inmate fell down stairs in a living unit at the jail during an altercation Wednesday night.</p> <p>The altercation happened at about 9:30 p.m. and the injured person was taken to hospital.</p> <p>The incident has been reported to Halifax Regional Police and is also being investigated by Correctional Services staff.</p> <p>There’s no word on possible charges.</p>
