Red Cross says family of six safe after fire destroys home in rural N.S.

<p>EUREKA, N.S. – A family of six is safe but homeless after a fire in Eureka, N.S.</p> <p>The Canadian Red Cross says the family lost their home and all of their belongings in Wednesday’s blaze in the community about 10 kilometres south of New Glasgow.</p> <p>The fire broke out around 10 p.m. at a home located on Kimball Lane.</p> <p>Volunteer fire units from Eureka and neighbouring communities responded.</p> <p>There is no immediate cause for the fire.</p> <p>Red Cross officials say they are assisting the family with food and emergency accommodations.</p>
