Police to determine whether sudden death of Edmonton Remand inmate a homicide

<p>EDMONTON – An investigation is underway after what police are calling the sudden death of a male inmate at the Edmonton Remand Centre.</p> <p>Officers were called in after staff discovered the dead prisoner in a cell at the downtown facility overnight.</p> <p>The man’s name has not been released.</p> <p>Investigators will determine whether or not the death was the result of a homicide.</p> <p>An inmate was murdered at the remand centre in 2005.
