TORONTO – An elderly woman was taken to hospital on a stretcher and a man was handcuffed to a chair during a violent home invasion which saw several guns stolen from a Woodbridge home on Villagewood Court.
Two male suspects allegedly forced their way into the home just after 11:30 a.m. Monday. They stole several guns from the home and left the two victims in handcuffs, before fleeing.
York region firefighters had to be called in to cut the handcuffs from the two victims.
York Regional Police Constable Andy Pettenden said one person received non-life threatening injuries during the robbery.
Pattenden did not have any other suspect information and said the suspects and the victims do not know each other.
